In below you will see some application for ground PHLOGOPITE MICA.
1) Joint Cement:
Dry ground Phlogopite mica used as filler and surfacing agent in wallboard joint cement compound to fill the joints between panels of wallboards. Both the thermal stability and heat deflection properties are improved with use of Mica Phlogopite as are the chemicals and ultraviolet resistance.

2) Asbestos free brakes lining & clutch discs :

High heat resistance , excellent thermal strength, high surface leakage resistance are some of the most distinctive properties of Phlogopite mica for use as friction materials for asbestos free brake linings and clutch discs and also as an asbestos substitute, Phlogopite mica reduces vibration and noise in the finished products.

3) Rubber & Tyre application :

Phlogopite mica is primarily used as a dusting agent and mold lubricants to prevent massing and adhesion of the rubber compounds during vulcanization and acts as a separating factor for the cores of outer sheath.

4) Gypsum Plaster boards :

Phlogopite mica is widely used in sound deadening application where it offers superior performance. Low shrinkage and coefficient of expansion, good dimensional stability, temperature stability, and extremely low water absorption are some of its additional outstanding features.

5) Welding electrodes :

Phlogopite mica is very inert mineral and has great thermal stability , high thermal conductivity. Phlogopite mica is used in mild steel rutile based welding electrodes. In this application a core of steel wire is coated uniformly with a flux comprising mica as a lagging compound. The mica coating provides two distinct types of protection to the welding rods.

6) Acoustics products :

Phlogopite mica is widely used as filler in non asbestos acoustic products for treatment of automobile under bodies, surface characteristics. Mica increases strength and stiffness while improving chemical and UV resistance, reduce shrinkage, absorption of noise & vibration
